CARE AND CLEANING FOR YOUR SILVER.

Silver doesn’t like humidity or perfume and can tarnish and go dull. Try to make sure you don’t spray perfume onto your silver.

Silver hates harsh chemicals and in particular bleach. Always remove bangles or rings if you are using cleaning products around the house that include bleach.

There are a few home made remedies for cleaning on the internet – none of these are recommended by us – in particular is the toothpaste one – toothpaste contains a whitening agent which will turn your silver black.

Silver will tarnish slowly over time but don’t worry any good quality silver cleaning liquid or cloth will bring your silver back to its original shine.  Cloths are great for chains and smoother surfaces. For more intricate pieces we recommend silver cleaning liquid. Don’t worry about any small residue left, this can be cleaned afterwards with a little soap and gentle brushing – an old soft toothbrush is good.

Going to the beach – no problems – sun, sea and sand all help to keep silver clean.

If you are storing your silver – make sure it is dry before you put it away. One of our little bags are good for storage – just pull the strings so the bag is tightly closed.

Leather Information:

As leather is a natural product, variations in its surface and texture are to be expected and do not constitute a fault. Leather is naturally very strong, but will be weakened by exposure to high temperatures or harsh chemicals. Always dry wet leather naturally at room temperature and then treat with a conditioning balm such as saddle soap. Please do not apply detergents or cleaning chemicals to your leather – use only products which are designed for leather.

Paracord Bracelet Care

Our paracord is the real thing. Genuine paracord from the USA. It is a very tough material which can be worn in water without shrinkage and is UV resistant and mould resistant. If you wear your bracelet the whole time when you are in the shower just clean with your normal soap and rinse and then let air dry. This will not harm the silver either.

Please however do not use any harsh chemicals or and cleaning products containing bleach. This will not only damage the paracord but will tarnish the silver part of your bracelet very quickly.
